I like the fabric but I think I would either get rid of the two darker fabrics and replace with paler ones or put in a couple of darker ones opposite

I think Quiltmouse has the correct idea, I'd go with her suggestion. Fabrics you've chosen are really pretty. Good luck.

Try rearranging the dark blue and dark pink. Too dark on one side and light on the other. The colors are pretty and you will have a great quilt when finished.

I like scrappy quilts so I am a bit biased in that direction, the more fabrics the better. I think the problem with the block is that the pink and blue on the bottom left are too close in value and scale, it makes that corner visually heavy. Contrast is important when making a block in which the pattern of the block shows up and contrast is not only color and value, consider also scale and density of the print. You did a good job of matching the intersections and I think it is a nice block and would make a very nice quilt. If you are going to make all the blocks with different fabric I would not worry too much about every block being perfect If all the blocks will be the same I would fix that one problem before making all the rest.

looks ok to me... (as for me I am not into florals...)

I agree with others, needs more contrast. :-)

This is gorgeous. Have you happend to look at any Kaffe Fasset quilts?? There is no such thing as too busy! It's a trend right now.
But I love this little block. Waiting to see the finished item. .

I was thinking of making a 4 block by 4 block baby girl quilt. Thanks!

If you want to use all your fabric, I would pick another pattern, maybe an ohio star with the center block being one of your florals and then darker points, then use the other colors for small squares trying for a dark against light theme. If you like the pattern, then like the others, you need a little more contrast. I really like all the fabrics, but like someone else said...not all together unless you have some blender fabric that reads as a solid. I think your quilt is going to be great! I do know this, if you like it, go with it. One person's busy is another person's beauty!

Why not try alternating the dark prints with the light prints this would make them pop and remember the wrong side of a fabric can give you the contrast you need. Each of the prints are lovely but you do not have order in contrast and that would give you a better eye flow.

I love it!
