Then check out the cost of this vintage 2 yard piece on Ebay!

http://cgi.ebay.com/30s-Vintage-Nove...item4151f111ba

I love vintage fabrics but would never pay this much for 2 yards!!!! I will just keep my fabric until it becomes vintage and then have my own vintage stash to choose from. LOL!!

Painiacs 07-15-2011 06:11 PM

Think it will be there for awhile!!!

pocoellie 07-15-2011 06:13 PM

If someone pays that much for it, they have too much money to spend on fabric, is what I would say.

TonnieLoree 07-15-2011 06:14 PM

I just put an offer on it for 10.00 and it wasn't rejected. So, we'll see.

BellaBoo 07-15-2011 06:17 PM

It's ugly to me. I'll pass.

sueisallaboutquilts 07-15-2011 06:18 PM

Sherri B, I like your logic!!! :D:D

I love vintage but not that one, even for 10 bucks :D

can't wait for their response!

thepolyparrot 07-15-2011 06:32 PM

I don't think I'd ever spend that much money with a seller whose feedback % is so poor. Anything lower than 99.6% sets off red flags with me.

But, maybe your offer will be accepted, then you aren't risking much. :)

Cybrarian 07-15-2011 06:36 PM

I can't imagine paying that for something that is screaming "buy me I am so exactly what you're looking for!"-- and I would have to say this is definitely not even whispering to me, thank goodness!

frugalfabrics 07-15-2011 06:42 PM

People on ebay pay crazy prices...I once put some M&Mfabric on there - one yard - starting price was 99cents....and it sold for $60!

I was absolutely shocked that someone wanted it so bad and they paid me that much for it...I would have been happy with $10 or so at that time...it was back in the late 90s.

lisalisa 07-15-2011 06:43 PM

haha wow, I about fell out of my chair

mzmama 07-15-2011 06:51 PM

Answer me this Batman...How can it be brand new if it is vintage???

Bonbonary 07-15-2011 07:06 PM

Wow! I'd sell some of my fabric for half that if I thought there were that many crazy buyers. Hmm...if the M&M fabric went that high...

From reading it I surmise they called it new b/c it was never used. ???

Candace 07-15-2011 07:15 PM

Maybe they meant to list it for $1.00 and hit the zero button a few times too many. :>

cjomomma 07-15-2011 07:15 PM

Oh my gosh! That's crazy! I wonder if it has gold in it?

HAHAHAHA

AFQSinc 07-15-2011 07:19 PM

I would have to see some provenance before I even thought of paying that kind of money for a piece of fabric.

It would have to be for me to even consider spending that much!

That was my first thought. I wouldn't want it if they gave it to me.

OneMoreQuilt 07-15-2011 07:22 PM

Not only is it only 36" wide (which many old fabrics were), it is not even 2 yards.....even with the hemmed edge, it's only 69"!!!

BigDog 07-15-2011 07:22 PM

Yep, and he wants $6 for shipping, too.

jayelee 07-15-2011 07:29 PM

Heck I might would pay ten dollars for it but not much more It will probably fall apart when washed

virtualbernie 07-15-2011 07:57 PM

They're out of their cotton-picking mind!

huntannette 07-15-2011 08:02 PM

I don`t think it`s a mistake...go take a look at their other vintage fabrics for sale!!!

it is NOT from the 30's either...in the 30's, none of those items would have been printed on the fabric..especially NOT the cuckoo clock!

AND it was at 36" up until the late 1960's...and this really has more of a late 50's early 60's look!

I wrote and asked for proof of its age! I am going to go through my fabric dating books in the morning..but I am pretty sure this is NOT from the 30's

Nanamoms 07-15-2011 09:12 PM

And the seller even stated that it has sone yellowing! DUH

I also think it looks more like 50's and 60's.

MonnaL 07-15-2011 09:16 PM

Jacquie, you beat me to it. Not 30s. Maybe 50s, or even early 60s.

I would bet my last fat quarter on it. LOL

javin22 07-15-2011 10:41 PM

Wow, they sure know what they want for it.

AbbyQuilts 07-15-2011 11:13 PM

I looked at all of there items those prices are just insane!! But there are people paying it. wow

earthwalker 07-16-2011 12:02 AM

It actually reminds me of some kitchen wallpaper my mother put up in the 70's....I'm in Australia and even to us that price is hugely inflated...

carolaug 07-16-2011 01:56 AM

Yuk....that is very ugly fabric. I would not even want it if it was free.

ljptexas 07-16-2011 02:04 AM

That is sooooo funny!! Some people!! They must think it's gold....

whinnytoo 07-16-2011 02:25 AM

That is a bit ridiculous....... but there are some obsessive buyers out there!

hmross 07-16-2011 02:36 AM

Woa or however it is that you spell that. I can see paying $10 a yard depending on the quality of fabric but if you can get it cheaper go for it but that is just way too much.

QultingaddictUK 07-16-2011 02:39 AM

They are taking the proverbial, or it's a mistype NOONE not even me, being a complete fabric addict would ever think of paying anywhere near that price, not even for a pretty fabric which that is NOT
