here is a great little tutorial I like!

http://quiltingisstillmypassion.blog...-tutorial.html She calls them 'mile a minute blocks' now, but if I remember right, she called it a crumb block when she 1st posted it...WAY back when!

I've been happily playing in my scraps and started out to make a crumb quilt, inspired by Bonnie Hunter and by a "Crumb Along with Me" project on the blog Jo's Country Junction

Thanks Anita, both of those sites were interesting and helpful. What a nice way to use up scraps on a rainy day.

Crumbs are just plain FUN.

This is my crumb quilt, I had some leftover log cabin blocks that I used along with the crumb blocks. Sorry I can't find a picture of it in my photo albums, but here it is in Webshots.

They are really fun to make and a great way to use some of those little scraps. I like to take a day now and then to make crumb blocks. It is stress free since anything goes and when you have enough you can make a quilt

Thanks to all of you kind quilters for enlightening me I will now start my own "crumb saving box" cause it looks like a whole lot of fun and with fabric prices going up along with everything else .Enjoyed seeing allthe beautiful quilts made with scrapes that I no longer will throw away. Thanks again!

How about the technique of sewing these crumbs on to a 6" pre cut sq.(or any sz. you want) out of muslin. This tech. you start in the middle. Then trim it to sz. there would be pc. hanging out all over. Is this the same general idea ?? I know this is a different process but the crumbs would still get used. Just a thought.;)Rowena101
