I've been happily playing in my scraps and started out to make a crumb quilt, inspired by Bonnie Hunter (http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2005/...bs-crumbs.html ) and by a "Crumb Along with Me" project on the blog Jo's Country Junction (
http://www.joscountryjunction.com/?page_id=4906 Check both of those links to see great examples of crumb quilts. On Jo's blog she has links to postings by others who are doing her crumb-along.

Great links...thanks for posting

Wow! I have been doing this for years -- sewing up scraps, then cutting them into squares. Now I know the name for for the process. I love it when I find out these things. I have not put them all together into a quilt yet; but will continue me a crumb drawer. (now that I know the name. Thanks everyone for sharing. I just keep learning things. Teresa

Yes in my opinion. Really it looks just like a 'crazy quilt' patch only using much smaller pieces of fabric. If I did make a small one I would definitely use muslin and/or paper as a foundation in order to eliminate stretching.
