What is wrong with him? Done????

Well my husband just wonders who is this one going too. You know I need another quilt.
|
While working and laying out my last 120x120 quilt on our living room floor, and having to move HIS recliner against the wall a few days in a row until I got the top all sewed together, my DH said, "You know, after this quilt, I don't think I care if you ever do another one". And recently when I was sorting through all my embroidery downloads, quilt patterns and etc. to put in binders,, he says, "You know if you threw all lthat away and quit sewing, you wouldn't have a mess!" And this is the same guy who won'lt let me give up coffee for Lent anymore!!! He really was getting tired of the mess I was making to straighten up my sewing room, but I just continue on with my stress reliever (sewing). He gets over it..

Quilting is like laundry. There is never an end.

I think that hubby was telling you that he is getting lonely, so remember you have to feed a husband daily(love and affection)everyday, just like the dog or cat. He's probably thinking if you we not quilt, there would be more time for him in your life. Take the hint.

My husband is just the oposite. He understands that this is something that will be with him as long as I am with him (forever I pray) I have found an artist outlet that I am passionate about. He and our Daughter are both science geeks (she says with pride) and he is very artistic, neither of which I could share in previously. Yes the mess gets to him once in a while but at this point I am lucky enough to have a house with a large basement which hides my mess. Our daughter is moving into her own place next week and we are letting her take the extra bed in the basement bedroom so I can spread out even more and hide the mess even more. We have talked about when we move into a smaller place after she leaves and the economy get better having room for both of our passions (he does wood work and other mystery things in the garage) If the house is to small for a dedicated quilting space we have talked about builidng a quilting cabin (about the size of a one car garage)
