sometimes I sew all day long and then there are times I don't sew for days.
I don't get to sew every day, either. Wish I could!
No I do not sew every day. I have other hobbies as well and then somedays I have to much pain to do anything. So I kind of wing it. (smile) If I sewed everyday I'd not be able to afford the habit and then I would be sad lol... Have a great day
naw, many of us have sew envy, stash, quilt room, and long arm envy too. lol.
i am retired and it is a rare day that i don't sew or at least cut out a quilt
i also would like to know if there is anyone else here from Kansas, havent seen anyone posted from this area
I think about it everyday and usually end up getting down there about 2 days per week. I never get down there in the summer months. We need to figure out how to get rid of some other things in life that take too much of our time!!
I wish! At most I get to sew once or twice a month.
I wish i could sew everyday, I have to stop and do all the others like laundry , cooking shopping cleaning.
I don't sew everyday. I can spend the whole day sewing, and the for a week not sew anything. I like to read, watch tv, read quilting board blogs, and play games on my ds. I go to school two days a week and work twelve hour weekends. Most time I am just too lazy to sew, and don't feel like moving too much.
I only wish I could lock myself in the room and sew everyday
I WANT to sew every day but I'm not organized enough. I think I should plan out each week and WRITE it down so I know where I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to be doing. Doesn't sound like much fun though.
Well, I work all day. My sewing is usually done on the weekends -- but I THINK ABOUT SEWING AND QUILTING ALL WEEK! ha.
you aren't the only one... sometimes I won't sew for a couple weeks or more; I took 3 years off, 03' to 06'... it just depends on how hot the 'flame' is.....
I work every day in my mom's quilt shop with her. When I switched from on-site work to computer work with my company, they were very understanding. I didn't know from 1 day to the next when I would have to take time off to be with Mom.Now I can take over my daughter's home-schooling and quilt every day and then in the evenings I do my paying job on the computer. It's a win-win situation for everyone.
Wish I could sew everyday. Still work full time.
I have the time to sew every day. But I enjoy reading about quilty things here. Also searching and finding the fabric online takes some time. Guess my actual quilting time is done in spurts. Sometimes you just don't feel like sewing. But for sure I am always thinking about it.
I am retired and love, love, love to sew -anything. However, I do not sew everyday. I do check this site every day and look forward to it. I have to admit that when I am not sewing, I am often thinking about it with great anticipation. Yolanda Wood River

My job interferes also! I usually do some sort of "craft" whether it is sewing, knitting, or whatever else, but I definitely don't get to sew every day. Sometimes I'll go over a week - but not very often.
I really wish I had the time to sew everyday, but like most, I work full time (actually run my own business), dream all day of getting home to sew or do some counted cross stitch. Hate those days that I have to stop at the store on my way home. then I never get to the machine.
I would like to sew more than I do but I have to stop and cut, fit together and pin before I can sew again. And that takes a lot of time.
I only sew when I have time, maybe 2 or 3 days a week.
And come spring and summer I don't know when I'll find time. I bike, garden, yoga and many other hobbies that I will be doing. |
I would rather sew than eat and that's going some, but I don't get to sew everyday. I am lucky to get to sew twice a week. I do like to think of my sewing as I am going to sleep.
I would love to sew every day. Some weeks I sew every day but usually not.
o, some dayz r jus sew sew n otherz are sewper.

I work full time and have medical issues, so I do what I can when I can. I enjoy it, I get a lot more out of an hour of sewing than an hour of surfing the net, but sometimes I just physically can't.

Sorry to dissapoint you but I do not sew every day. I'm too busy. Live in a beautiful retirement home and don't have the time, Bingo 2 nights a week, Pinochle 1 night a week, Sew & Sew club 1 afternoon a week, sign up for food delivery 1 morning a week. exercise one morning a week, shopping, straightening and cleaning house, Laundry and playing on the Board every day is my routine. I sew when I get a "minute"

I will tell you that I am probably the exception as I do sew every day as my full time job does require it. I sell sewing machines for one of the leaders in the industry. It is really funny because my children laugh as I see sewing machines on programs I will call out the make and model most of the time.
Obviously I love to sew and have found a way of doing it full time and pay the bills. |
No, I don't sew everyday, only when I have the time. Sometimes I go in spurts where I do have time to do several days in a row, then several days with nothing sewed. Now that I have a newborn baby my sewing time is even more limited, LOL.
I wish I could everyday. It's usually in spurts. I'll get involved in a project and work on it until all the other parts of my life (job, cooking, cleaning, husband) start to need attention. Then I spend just enough time to placate everyone and get back to the machine.
I am retired, but never seem to have the time to sew every day. However; on the days that I do my washing, which is about four days a week, when I put the first load in, I go to my sewing room and quilt for an hour, or two. Then, I load the dryer, and back to my sewing room for another hour, or two. I seem to get more done using that schedule. Have to admit, when I look at the time, I often find that two hours have developed into three. Works for me. Eileen

I don't get to sew every day. Actually I never have gotten to sew every day. Now however, with the house on the market, I have to try to keep things in somewhat of an order so you can see that the room has 4 walls and a floor when someone comes to look at it.

I would to love to sew more, but sadly life gets in the way. But then, I like my life so it is not the hardship it could be.

Hmmmm - I thought when I retired I would have plenty of time for quilting! Hah!! between picking up the gkids and having them here (depending on Mom's schedules), housework, yardwork, activities with the gkids etc, etc, But ya know, I love every minute. So I get to my sewing when I get a chance.

I also have serious back issues. I try to pace my sewing, cutting, standing time. I give myself a changing time with each area of sewing that I do. So if I am sewing once I finish an alloted amount of the project I get away from the machine and go to another area of my sewing room and work on something else for an alloted amount of time. Seems to help, the trick is to change position often enough that the back does not know it is getting a work out! |
I would love to quilt everyday, but the real world of a j-o-b interferes. :) I also have to be in the mood, but I think that goes along with having the job.
I know what you mean...I'm so jealous of all these people! I don't have the time or budget for sewing everyday.
