I love all the comments on how gals use the table runners. for myself? and my grand daughters, I want to teach them how to make a room look nice with simple changes. This teaches them that just a quick change can also lift everyones/ mood. keep them coming.!!!!!! jacie

I have a very dense moment on these table runners. I get the idea of sewing the "tube" and turning, what I am having a problem with is understanding constructing the pointed ends - how do you do them? Guess sometimes I am a visual person and that one is just not sinking in. Once I get the hang of it, I plan to make several of them - as mentioned for a quick decor change. Thank you.

I have not made one yet... but it is on my list of projects to do. I use an antique trunk for our coffee table in our living room -- one would look fabulous on it!

good idea to decor your trunck with a runner........ I have a trunck also, and will giveit a new , bright decor for spring..thanks for the tip

Table runners make great gifts, in that they are fast, and not much material.

for the year of 2010, i sent my mom, and three sisters each a table runner each month for their 2009 christmas present...these were different kinds of table runners, some quilted squares, but mostly machined applique with that months holiday as the theme....they all loved them, and displayed them....and have told me they are displaying them again this year..so even tho some of them did not use them before, they do now........it was a really fun project....gina

Gina, I agree that you sure gave your mom & sisters a wonderful gift. That is quite a commitment to make each of them a new tablerunner for each month!

thanks....i do have to admit that when i started the project i thought 'well, it has to be just as easy to make 4 as one' so off i went on the journey, but to tell the truth i got almost nothing else done last year, it was time consuming.......but it was a great accomplishment for me....and now, i think i am really better at satin stitching (LOL!!)....thanks for for your support....gina
