I buy mostly from Fabric.com and Joanns. The all gladly take my money and my husband unhappily gets the packages at the door. hee hee.

I'm a sale shopper.A sale to me means at least 50% off.If a LQS has a good sale, I'll check it out.Mostly,I buy on line at Thousands of Bolts,Quilt in a Day & other shops that posters recommend.

Wherever I find it. There have been some great finds at the thrift shops, yard sales, lqs and so on. I buy very little at Walmart now...usually all I see there now are those prepackaged fabrics and the quality is so poor. I have also found some very nice pieces at Hobby Lobby. I don't really need more fabric but...I'm sure you know what I mean  . My son says he expects to see me on the Hoarder tv show any time now

Welcome to the QB. I buy all my fabric from LQS.
I want to see the color and feel the fabric I buy. I want to know the quality of the fabric. I have never bought fabric online.
I want to promote my local stores. We live in a rural area and if we don't buy local these small businesses will go out of business. Happy Quilting.

For me it's Joannes, Hancock , online, yard sales, swap meet, Quilt stores, and thrift stores, and sometimes people 'gift me 'with scraps

I get a lot from Marshalls dry goods ( a couple friends and I go down a couple times a year) Also from Fabric outlet in Springfield, MO and from the Amish and Mennonite shops in PA when I go meet up with friends to go to the Lancaster show. I also get a lot of scraps and yardage from my Linus Rep.

I buy my fabric from my LQS and then from several places on line. Can't remember all the names. I usually do a search for what I am looking for and then go with the one that has the best price.

I mostly buy a lot of fabric at FC Harris co. It is a outlet store were they sell quilting fabric from the past year. I am like a kid in a candy store when I go there and I leave the credit card at home and pay with cash so I am not braking my budget. I use to go to the Goodwill and Salvation army but there hasn't been much there for fabric so I don't go there much. I also have been impressed by the line of fabric at my local Walmart lately. Joanne's is considering putting a store in were I live but it will be a while before it opens if it actually gets approval.

check out www.equilter.com They have great prices and donate a portion of your purchase price to the charity of your choice. In 2010 they donated $100,000 to charities. They also have great sales

I also buy online. No one particular shop, have used many and more! If I know what I'm looking for, I comparison shop at http://www.quiltshops.com

And I buy from the quilters on this board.

Thank you so much for that link! I found that there is a dimples flannel fabric that will be perfect for the back of my gd's quilt!
