A debit charge is different then a withdrawal of your account.
If someone has your debit card info, your whole bank account can be withdrawn down to a few dollars. It will take more then a few days to get it back if you ever do.

When I order anything online, I screen shot the order page, then when it shows up, I photograph the receipt. I keep both in a file under my pictures on my tablet, and put all the actual receipts in a file folder by date. This helps keep me organised.

We are still talking about the same thing! My issue was with a purchase, not a withdrawal. Someone made several purchases with my husband's debit card info in Las Vegas. We are in Washington. I called our credit union. Money was back in my account the next day.

I keep the email receipt active until the pkg arrives. I always know exactly how many orders I've placed and when to expect it.

My SIS lost all her money in her account by someone in another state withdrawing it using her debit card info. It took about two months to get it all back after she proved she was not in that state at that time. And yes it was a credit union. The crook actually had her PIN number so that is when it is very hard to prove it wasn't a deliberate withdrawal. She had to borrow from her 401k until it was all said and done. She still lost some money in penalties. A charge can be disputed and money put back but not a withdrawal, that is a whole different kettle of fish.

Like you I keep a notebook next to my computer with 3 columns for orders, Dated from Where, What , How much.
I place all my order confirmations in a folder in my gmail account...And since I only pay with a credit card, I just go online for totals and etc for all my orders.

I keep the emails in my inbox until I get the item, then I move them to folders. The folders are an excellent way to find a quilt fabric that I need more of, or my "repairs" folder..I can look to see when and where we got a part, etc. I rarely delete them.
