Very sorry to hear of your loss. Giving the quilt to your sister's grandchild was a fantastic idea. Bless all of you.

It is beautiful. I think we sew pain and joy into our quilts. I was making one for my brother when he died many years ago. I finished the top and could not finish the rest. I eventually gave it away to a relative. It is therapeutic. Looks like you made lemonade out of the experience. Bless you.

I am so sorry for your losses, I am glad that you were able to finish the quilt and give it your sister and GS. The label was a super idea. I am still grieving for my mom who after a massive stroke on Halloween, waited for all her children to get home and died Nov 2. Still hard to believe I can't just pick up the phone and tell her things, because she sewed and quilted also.

More then a quilt
It's a piece of your heart and a symbol of your love. Beautiful.

I'm sure Carson would have been proud and is smiling down on all of you. How nice your sister and great nephew can enjoy your love and a hug from Carson, all at once. A wonderful gesture and loving memory.

Twinkie, so very sorry for your loss. I too have a brother dealing with illness(pancreatic cancer). I was fortunate in that I was able to make him a lap quilt that he is using. I'm so happy to hear that you were able to find a grateful recepient. God bless you and comfort you all.
