Your quilt is lovely - only you will know. I learned this the hard way too whe ordering more Kona 'Bone'. Never entered my head there would be shading difference what with having the shade card and all........ BTW - I'm a knitter, so should have known better

Oh Hey, it's the light! That's what I'd say. really if anyone notices just say you had to buy more fabric. true and it will calm any ideas they may have about a problem of some sort with that area. Cute quilt!!

I can hardly see a difference in the colors of your quilt and by the way, that quilt is very, very, very cute.

I do agree that you should make sure you buy all the fabric you need at the same time, hopefully from the same bolt to avoid color problems.

I don't really notice it. don't worry so much. it will be loved.

Just looks like you graduated it from light to dark. Some people spend ages trying to get that effect. I think you will find that all dye lots vary in intensity but can be manipulated to fit in. I think you are being too harsh with your criticism of yourself. It looks fine.

I totally agree with JenniePenny. Call is a 'design element,' and let it go. Your grandson most probably won't even see any color difference. It's a grand quilt, by the way!

Honestly, I like the effect. I think it looks great.

We have all been there and done that! Your "oops" is not very obvious and will motly be noticed by only you.Your grandson never will. That shadow box effect is great.

pmonaghen 03-24-2015 04:19 AM

As a friend tells me..."from the back of a galloping horse"...you'd never see it!

tildiemae 03-24-2015 04:42 AM

I agree with jenniepenny. You will probably be the only one to know that it was an 'oops'! Fun quilt!
