Just dive in dear! It doesn't matter what you have done before.... you will learn along the way.You can find help here and tons of videos to help you out. If you love it just go for it!

If you never step out of your comfort zone you will never accomplish anything great! :-)

This appears to be a fairly easy pattern I'd have my second level beginners tackle. Not a fan of paper piecing, personally, but it would not *have* to be done that way.
You'll be fine, just "do it!"

Is the flower border the only part that is PP'd? I've been reading through the block directions, but I havn't seen anything about PP yet. Can you guys tell by looking at them?

Yes, the smaller side blocks around the large cross are all PP. It IS a beautiful design--good luck!

I completely concur
Great patterns, thanks for the post.

Yep - coz those little triangles are really little.

confident beginner.

It looks to me like the crosses are paperpieced and the flowers and leaves are appliqued. I love both techniques so I would do this quilt. It is beautiful

MommaDorian 09-27-2010 07:59 AM

Could I cheat and just use a plain border around the big cross, skip the flowers?
