I am voting for the dark.

mucky 09-29-2011 12:16 PM

like the light

Janquiltz 09-29-2011 12:20 PM

The dark background gives more drama and the focus fabrics really pop. IMHO

FayZ 09-29-2011 12:20 PM

wow. I like both. I'm no help.Sorry

Iamquilter 09-29-2011 12:30 PM

I like the dark one. But both are beautiful.

quilted dakota 09-29-2011 12:32 PM

wow! both are awesome, so you have to make them both!

iowalady 09-29-2011 12:47 PM

WOW . . . . . dark is beautiful

gertz 09-29-2011 01:11 PM

I love the dark, the fabrics jump at you, like 3D

HomespunHandmaiden 09-29-2011 01:12 PM

I definitely think the dark :)

BJSEWS 09-29-2011 01:28 PM

I would normally say black but I really like colaration in the beige , so that has more interest. The black looks just plain black, so maybe in this case too much black.

suzieQ 09-29-2011 01:30 PM

love the dark suzieQ

BarbP 09-29-2011 01:47 PM

It's too hard to pick one, like them both.

CAS49OR 09-29-2011 01:53 PM

I like the dark. Reminds me of stained glass.

katesnanna 09-29-2011 02:14 PM

I usually love black background but in this case I would pick the light. Both are lovely, just my preference.

Quiltylady 09-29-2011 02:19 PM

The dark is very striking.

ShabbyTabby 09-29-2011 02:29 PM

Oh darn, I like the dark better, and now it is making me rethink the background material I just bought, lol.

I really do like the dark one better, but they both look really nice.

[quote=QKO]Two treatments for the same quilt, one using a light background, another the dark background. Which do you prefer?

Have to agree with mom-6.

matraina 09-29-2011 03:58 PM

Hard to say. They are both beautiful! I guess, if I had to pick, I would go with the dark. You can't go wrong with either one.

MargeD 09-29-2011 04:00 PM

I like the one with the dark background, makes it look almost Amish, although the other one is nice too. Love the fabric!!

kathy6696 09-29-2011 04:15 PM

Like them both, first instinct was the light, but on looking again and again, I vote for the dark. Very dramatic.

dotski 09-29-2011 04:18 PM
