I wouldn't. Magic erasers are abrasive - that's why they take things off. Teflon is a thin, rather easily damaged coating. I don't think that's a good combination.

The magic eraser works great on the bottom of your iron. I also use it on a lot of household cleaning. It is great.

I am gonna try this. I am always gumming up my small iron with elmer's glue or certain muslins.

Yes, they're great for the cutting mat, wet or dry. I generally just use a dry scotchbrite pad. Only wet it, if you plan on drying it when you're finished cleaning. Unless your cutting mat is soiled with water soluable (spelling?), I'd be content to use the dry pad.
