I have that same iron, and the same thing happened. My DH took it apart and used a metal piece in place of the plastic that broke and I use it when I have girls over for quilting and such, but it no longer folds down. It does a good job on your seams so I will continue to use it.

I have the Petite Press and really like it for piecing and pressing
backing seams that are parallel to the bars on my frame while loading a quilt. The cord is long enough to use about anyplace.
I also piece with my machine on an old metal office desk, so pull out the "typewriter shelf", put a folded bath towel on it and
press my seams as I finish each step for the blocks.

I have the Clover, with different attachments. Burned 2 fingers the first time I used it. Wasted my money, bought a vintage Ospress steampress mini iron for a $1 at a yard sale, love it. It has a plastic sole plate,and is hot enough for me.

I have one & use it all the time becareful it gets very very hot. It works get for 1/4 seams & when I make binding

When Joanns has quilting notions 50% off, the Clover irons are included.. I have the red Clover and the Dritz, and the little Rowenta, the little Clover, and the lisst goes on!

My clover gets very hot! I do have to be careful and not burn my fingers, but it is great for doing seams as I sew and also for applique. I have it right next to my machine in a ceramic mug which makes a nice 'holder'. :thumbup:

I have the same things, hobbykat, and I also think the small iron is a waste of money.

I have the handle type clover and the small version of a regular iron and love them both.

I bought this little iron from Joannes and never use it...doesn't get very hot. It's a waste of money.

I had the one shaped like a wand with a triangular iron, didn't work at all, not hot enough for anything, then I bought an small iron like a toy, it gets too hot, has not temperature control and I have to turn it on and off constantly, not worth it!
