Love all the minis!! I used to make a lot of them when I started quilting, all by hand.
While cleaning out my sewing room I found several, wow are they small!
I would like to do another one, really fun! :)

We have a miniature section in the Topics Lists. I manage it and if you post a miniature you can add it to the Miniatures section.

Here is the link

You will find a lot of good inspiration here.

I found a lovely golden metal Victorian doll bed, about 7 inches long and the headboard is about 4 inches high.
I'm making the whole thing, mattress, sheets, pillows and a tiny crazy quilt of soft velvets. I've just put a backing in an embroidery hoop and can add whatever I happen to run into to it till it's finished. I want it to cover over and under the pillows and touch the floor on both sides. Sorta like one I saw as a child at an aunt's house, which was a long time ago, but I thought it was so lovely I can still remember it.

Sure was....now all I have to do is get it together! The 6" ones are for the Farmer's Wife QAL but I do have miniature magazines. All I need is a little free time

I've made a few minis.

If you want patterns, Cindy Edgerton has some here: http://www.averyspecialcollection.com/shop/index.htm
They're paper pieced, and her patterns come preprinted on tissue, like clothing patterns.

drawn up in EQ and paper pieced.

Never made one but would like to know what the measurements should be.

For me a miniature is anything under 24" square.

Quite frankly, with the amount of money we have to pay for material I think it is a waste of time and money to make a miniature quilt unless it was for a useful purpose such as a place mat. I prefer to make larger items such as a full quilt. However, if it was an art quilt to be used as a wall hanging or framed, then it takes on a different dimension.
