My HFT doesn't have the correct blades. What types of blades did you say they were and how much were they? The ones I saw today were 9.99 and up and had little funny edges on them. Our HF store had only 45's ,2 in a pk. for $1.49. The kicker was they were located in the paint area on a wall display. I gave mine to a fabric shop to see how they work and in 4 days there was already occasional skips. So maybe a good deal...maybe not.

Yesterday we were in WM and I made a point to go see how much blades were in there $4.59 for ONE BLADE. That's ridiculous - at the most it's about .0000001¢ worth of steel. My hubby went to HF yesterday and they were completely sold out and said there were none in the warehouse nationwide for back order!

The HFT store in Tallahassee, FL has the blades in stock I called tonight. I live 60 miles from there and they won't ship from their store so I am out of luck.

I bought some of those suction cup ruler holders at HFT. They were in the automotive department, used for putting in windshields. I think it was less than $8. I also got one of the smaller ones for 2.99, but can't remember where that was at in the store, it wasn't near the big one.

I'd never heard of Harbor Freight until I read about it on this site. I've already bought so much to use for quilting - all ideas from all of you! I was just there today and picked up the last pack of blades. Haven't tried them out in my rotary cutter yet.

I have just printed the picture out and will email it to my daughter in Brisbane and ask her if she will check Bunnings near her to see they have the blades. If so you will be told for all our Australian friends. Wish us luck.

Smitty, I use the green mat. It is honestly awesome, and I use a "scrubby" that you use in the shower to keep it smooth. I have had mine over a year now and have cut lots of material on it. Hope that helps in your next purchase of a mat.

Ladies, do you realize what we might be doing to the price of carpet installation? Once they realize that quilters who are used to paying much more for the blades are snapping them up, they will raise the prices to fabric store levels, carpet installers will find the price up and they in turn will double the price of installation to pass on the increase to us. So I say be forewarned and order that new carpet now before the installation cost goes sky high! :lol:
