Yes, make it bigger if you can. She'll be getting bigger, after all. I do love the quilt, too. The fabrics are wonderful and really work well together.

If you skip the batting and just use flannel (or fleece) you don't have to do much quilting at all.

Very pretty and perfect for a little girl.

I would add a narrow stop border in a darker pink and then a wider border, then a darker binding. Great job on your first string quilt! Aren't they fun? I like how no matter what fabrics you use, when it's all done they all go together.

Should i make it bigger with plain flannel borders.
Love your colors and pattern. |
Very nice quilt. I'd put a fairly narrow pink border and back with flannel only--no batting. The string piecing creates a quilt that is a little heavy so I wouldn't make it any bulkier. What a lucky girl!

I agree with the others on the border(s) and quilting. Just wanted to say how pretty your quilt is.

Sweet...yes another that says a border and flannel backing with no batting. She will love this.

Love your colors for this little one. I'd add a border cause kiddos grow too fast, and use some sweetly curved quilting pattern to offset the straight lines of the piecework. Can't wait to see it done!

Beautiful string quilt! A border would really frame it. She is going to love that quilt!
