I thought about going in to my janome dealer and telling them what i thought about them,but i dont think it would do any good. the repair guy is the owners son and he can do no wrong. i've talked to former employees. I have found a new Janome dealer and they have better service and better warranties. My next Janome will come from the Quilted Cottage in Saginaw not the other store.
I have thought about reporting them to the BBB. and to Janome.

The 6600 has a start stop button. Are you sure it is not being pushed by accident when you are sewing. I never use the foot pedal anymore, just the button. Saves leg cramps. Noreen :D :?:

The only weird thing my Janome does is refuse to quilt through spray basting! Everytime I use spray baste, within a few stitches she starts skipping stitches and all that stuff. I put in something pinned, she's fine. Take it out and put back in my spray basted quilt, she refuses to behave.

So, as much I as love spray basting, I can't do it unless I use my little kenmore for quilting, which is why I bought my Janome!

i've tried 2 different brands and neither work!! So, I am resigned to pin basting.... :cry: :evil:

The start stop button will not work if the foot pedal is plugged in, but that is a good thought.

It wouldn't have been a 1969 Suburban, by any chance, would it?! There's not enough room or time to go on about "dis-believing" car mechanics but quick story. My family had a Suburban that did the same thing (dying), and needed to be towed multiple times. On the N'th time it needed to be towed (I was driving it), I was so frustrated, I suggested they deep six it into Boston Harbor!

The final straw was when my mother brought it in to the dealership. The service manager made the mistake of telling her she didn't know what she was talking about and that her driving was the problem. My grandmother and I were sitting in the car, listening to all of this. When we heard "stupid", and saw my mother light up like a Christmas tree, we just slunked down in our seats and waited for the fire works. Thankfully, the guy knew he'd stepped over the line, blood was not shed, and the car was eventually fixed. Bottom line, never mess with a Yankee, woman or man!

It was a very smart 99 suburban. I said in front of the car one day that I was going to blow it up if it ever refused to start again. It did but it was smart enough to do it in the parking lot of the police station. It knew I could not blow it up there. LOL.

Glue sticks and Elmer's school glue are wonderful for basting things on a quilt. There is a youtube video about binding a quilt that shows you how to use it. It works beautifully. Search youtube for quilt binding and find the one when she is binding an Angel quilt. once you watch that one watch all of her videos. She is amazing. And no it does not hurt your quilt
