Wow, so nice to "hear" from you Nancy. I have the column quilt on my list of quilts to make starting in January. I've got the episodes saved on my dvr and also have your sites bookmarked. I am so looking forward to making this quilt. I haven't decided on what colors to use yet though. Thanks so much for posting on the board.

Ok kids please help me out here, how do I make sure I don't lose track of this thread of messages? I used to just add it to watched topics or book mark it. Am I right in assuming if I have made a response then it automatically subscribes me to this thread?
Thanks in advance. |

We don't get any of the sewing or quilting shows anymore and I really am dissappointed....When I worked I couldn't watch them except on weekends and now that I'm retired they're no longer on! BOOHOO!

Echoing the words of welcome to Nancy.
Central O Q, thanks for the post. I missed seeing that one. Although I often watch the shows of SWN & F&P, I don't always get up to watch by 0600, so record the shows. This looks like a good project for my 4-H students. With the recordings on the web, I can even save some lecture time and just "assign" the viewing as "homework". Quilting books are on sale at JA now, so will swing by today and hope they have it on the shelf. |
I love the technique she showed, it looks so easy!

Wow, how amazing that you found our board and gave a personal reply! Now I'll be spending the day watching your videos instead of cleaning, decorating, cooking, sewing...LOL

Thanks for your interest in the Column Quilt design that I presented on TV. BTW, the most 52 current Sewing With Nancy shows are available online 24/7 at www.nancyzieman.com. If you missed a show or your PBS stations doesn't carry it, you can watch online.
I also did a variation of that quilt called "Quilt to Give," you can find the instructions on my blog—www.nancyzieman.com/blog. It's way to use of scraps of fabric and then give the quilt to someone in need. |
I had to go look. What a pretty quilt! I think even I could make it.

Hi, I have both the video & the book for this quilt... It's on my "To Do" list as I just love the look of this quilt. I have a Long Arm now so may not do it as a QAYG but ... just the same..I do love the design of it. And now I read that we have the "Go To" person here if we have any problems. Welcome Nancy... have been a big fan and follower for years!
