Stitch happy has "block specific" quilting patterns. I haven't bought any yet, but I do browse often!

I know what you mean about feeling intimidated, since that's the way I always feel at quilt shows. Try to get to the other side, though, and that's to feel inspired. I also have a longarm, and there are so many techniques and skills to learn that I try to concentrate on practicing some new skill on each quilt. I really enjoyed Kimmy Brunner's Machine Quilting with Templates class on Craftsy, and that's a technique that would lend itself nicely to a Hunter's Star.

I am able to do a good meander but thought I might like something different. Would like to see some of yours that are done.

No suggestions either, but I wanted to welcome you to the board!

I would google hunter star quilt images and see how others have done it or search it on pinterest to see some ideas

Welcome from Muscatine, Iowa. What about maybe just doing stippling.

Welcome from Michigan.....Personally, I think the quilting can 'make' the quilt so I understand you waiting to decide what you want to do. It often takes me awhile to pick what I think will be perfect. I do think searching for images of your pattern might help. Whatever you choose will be wonderful..... and will help you move on to the next masterpiece.

Welcome from Illinois! I don't have a long arm but wouldn't know what to do with it if I did! I am not the most mechanical person on this board but I have learned so much here!

Well, you are two steps ahead of me --you have a long arm and you have a quilt that is ready to be quilted!! Good luck finding a design for your quilt.
