I have a Pfaff 7510 bought in 97. The computer board went out 2 years ago and after many problems, 2 months and $200 I finally got it back. Now the same thing has happened and am told it will cost $300 and who knows how long. Has anyone else had problems. We want to contact the company but cannot find a number. We have e-mailed but have not gotten a response. Even the dealer said the board should not go out in 2 years. any help would be appreciated.

Did you try 1-800-99-Pfaff ? I would call them and ask them how you get to "talk" to a person about your problem.

Can the dealer who helped you two years ago help you know ?

Funny you should mention that: My Pfaff 7550 went kaput as well yesterday and I took it to a dealer who will check into it. According to her, most of the older Pfaff models circuit boards do go out however they last just as long as the original ones. I'm hoping it won't cost me as much since now BOTH of my sewing machines are in the shop and I am going nuts with nothing to do while on medical leave. Hope you find good news!

good luck, keep me updated. My dealer does not normally give you an answer for several weeks before you even get to know what the prognosis is.

If your machine is not under warranty, and sounds like it is not, I'd find another shop...

My Pfaff 7570 had to have the board replaced after 2 years.
The dealer said that was just one of those things. Cost about $150. No other problems in the last 4 years. I use it all the time.

How frustrating. I would get a second opnion.

Biggest problem with the older pfaff's, (I have a 7570) is that Pfaff no longer supports these machines. Somewhere around 2000, Pfaff was bought out by another company who destroyed all the old replacement parts. Motherboards are getting harder and harder to find as you have to find them thru other sources since you can't get them from Pfaff. Try ebay. If (when) my pfaff goes out, I would probaby buy a Babylock Quest Plus as it is darn close to the original pfaffs. Good luck!

Thank you for that info. I didn't know! I haven't found out from the dealer yet what the problem is but I'll let you all know.
