I've always loved to do jigsaws and have a whole collection of them in the storage unit - that's where they ended up when I needed more room for my fabric. Since I started quilting, I haven't needed to have a puzzle going...
Must be a direct relationship between quilting and jigsaw puzzles. |
I love puzzles, I picked them up at gararge sales, estate sales.
Me too! I love puzzles
Yep, I often get those for Birthdays and Christmas. The 3D ones are especially good for spacial relationships as well as the recognition of pattern, I think. The family I spend Christmas with always has a new, giant one to do together after the meal. I get lots of opportunity to get good photos of them all whilst they are relaxed.
Oh, yes! Usually do the three MSN ones on line every day to rest a few minutes. We always had one going during the winter, when I was growing up, and when we went home for holidays after we were grown, there was a new one waiting. A nice tradition.

I love to do jig-saw puzzles but with a very helpful almost 5 yr. old around everyday it is almost impossible to have one out. Also a cat that loves to sleep on whatever new project comes along. I just bought a new puzzle the other day though that maybe I can work on over a week-end when the grandkids are not here (that is the 5 yr. old).

I don't
I do at least two crossword puzzles a day.
I also like solving mysteries including genealogy. Guess it is all about solving a problem or puzzle or making something beautiful out of disorder ( bits of material)..
I love to.
me too
Next to sewing I absolutely love puzzles.
I love puzzles, we have one going in breakroom at office most of the time, i also like sudoko puzzles.
I must confess I leave this site(reluctantly) and go to Jigsaw world and do puzzles on-line.
Funny you say that...I just bought two recently...both are quilt themed and I have already started one
I'm raising my hand.

Peggy, Your quilt is so cool. How did you get those letters so neatly put in place? I just love your quilt. Did you create it from your own design or was it a pattern? Either way I sure think its great. |
Jigsaw, crossword, I love them all. I do them to help keep my mind functional with the fibro. There are websites that have different kinds of puzzles to stimulate and exercise all the different parts of your brain! How cool is that?

A cool puzzle site online is jigzone.com.

What's really sad -- a couple of years ago I was picked for Jury duty, criminal case. Well, during breaks in the court session (not lunch), the 10 of us - 6 regular Jurors and 4 alternates, would work on a jigsaw puzzle! We'd almost had it done, when it came to the day for deliberations to start. The 4 alternates were sent on their way, and the remaining 6 did their thing, but we cried as we cleaned it up.

I have a great selection of 'quilt' jigsaw puzzles and love them. The hardest one I have put together was a scrap double wedding ring on white background 1000 piece - I could have pieced the same quilt in half the time it took me to do the jigsaw puzzle.
DH cringes now everytime I bring out a quilt jigsaw so the family jigsaw we put together this Christmas was a Panda sitting amongst greenery, some many shades of green....aaahhhhhh :) :)

I love them, but rarely take the time for them. When we bought our house on the lake last year, i didn't have a sewing machine there yet so i got out some jigsaw puzzles. That is where I'll probably keep them to do.
Me, me, me! I love to do jigsaw puzzles...and crossword puzzles, and sudoku, and H.O.G.s, anagrams, word search, etc.
I do but I have a cat.
I love to work on puzzles, I have about three I need to put together.
I love jigsaw puzzles, too. Have you tried the ones on the internet?
Jigsaws, sudokus, crosswords, stained glass (which is quite similar to quilting except you cut yourself even more often!)...and plan to plant a sunflower maze for the grandkiddies this summer!

you are not the only one that doesn't do puzzles - but love to quilt.

I do puzzles too, I just got one with a quilt in it for Christmas from my MIL. My first quilting puzzle.
I love puzzles. Got one for Christmas. Can't wait to put it together.

Sooo, that might explain all my quilting problems....I'm not real quick with jigsaw puzzles.
It's fun but with the table up for quilting now, there's no room for a puzzle. pooh.
