WELL---My phylosiphy (I am sure the spelling is an alternate one) is,"IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW OLD YOU WERE, HOW OLD DO YOU THINK YOU'D BE?" I figure, 16 with acne! (54 in a few months-;{

SallySews 05-01-2011 11:27 AM

Debbie B 05-01-2011 11:31 AM

busygranny 05-01-2011 01:54 PM

I will be 75 this fall and I feel 50 and am able to keep up with all the 40ish crowd. Swim 40 laps every day, walk 3 miles and quilt the rest of my time.

Grinster 05-01-2011 02:21 PM

I am 62. I just had my 3 month A1C checked this week and it was 6.9. I am doing the happy dance because 3 months ago it was 8.5! Have always been interested in crafts. I have my mom's crafting gene but not the time she had. I have fabrics from 30 years ago. Took a couple decade to focus on my Nursing Career and school. Still working full time and loving it but can't wait to retire so I can have time to quilt full time!

judy_68 05-01-2011 02:24 PM

I'm 53. Quilting for 3 yrs. My daughter is 29. Quilting 2 yrs. My son in law says I wear granny panties, to which I rely, "yes I do, I am a granny". :) I've raised a family, been a wife for 36 yrs and I am ready to take advantage of all the benefits that come with being a "granny".

Millstream Mom 05-01-2011 02:53 PM

I will be 66 on Friday but I was at a quilt retreat this weekend where there were quilters from 13 to 77 years old and just about everything in between.

I am 60 but I have been making quilts since I was 6. I try to interest children in making quilts so they understand how hard it is to make them and have an appreciation for them. It sounds like your husband needs to take a few classes and meet some of us of all ages. We are all 18 in our mind's eye.

honeybea 05-02-2011 12:31 PM

Philosophy for Old Age by George Carlin on U tube is awesome.....says it all and beautiful slide show.......great for all ages.....

I am going to be 82 the 30th of May. I am proud of my age and plan to quilt until I am 90. Now I am getting ready to move but I make about 8 quilts a year. Am I too old???I give them all away to family.

Why quit at 90? It sounds like you have a good thing going.
