64 and tell him I am young and counting on many years to kick ass.
|
I'm with you--quilting about 5 yrs, will never get my stash used up.
I'm 72 and NOT OLD!!!! Wasn't interested in quilting until the rotarycutters came out. |
I am 81, and have been quilting since 1988, when I gave up on it, because the woman in the Q-shop cut the material, and I never had enough for the project. It turned me off, until 1993, when I moved up to Wappingers Falls, (N.Y.) and found a really nice Quilting Basket, where the ladies were wonderful with help..and used new cutting methods, so the customers were not cheated... I REALLY started quilting then, joined 2 guilds, and a smaller (7) group, and absolutely love it... I also knit, crochet, smock, tat, counted cross stitch, but don't care for crewel work... Thanks for listening... Diana O.

53 and running like the devil is still after me with chocolate in one hand, and a machine in the other quilting like crazy !LOL taking a break once in a while to work and make clothes for the grands !! LOL
Started making quilts when I was 21 to help with decorating (self taught)but I learn every time I open a new quilt book or read something on the board. Always learning .. LOL my hubby is a diabetic too and he gets that "diabetic grumpy" as I call it. I hand him some peanut butter, a spoon and tell him to go take his sugars and eat a few teaspoons of protein !LOL |
Quick Post script: both of our grand daughters: ages 13 & 10 are quilters as well !LOL

I'm 34. I'll tell you what, when I tell people I'm a professional seamstress & a quilter they really get into it, especially the guys! Several times it's initiated a cool conversation or sewing challenge too :)

almost 50 - milestone birthday coming in just a few months
|
33, with a birthday next week. All of my hobbies are old lady hobbies, though. Sewing, knitting, gardening, miniatures...I guess younger women aren't supposed to have any fun at all. ;)
|
Think the question should be at what age did you start quilting. I was 8 years old. My mom taught me. Been quilting ever since. It is my hobby, stress reliever, general fun.
|
if 50 is the new 30, then that makes me 17! (37)
|
48 and my sugar was good today! But tomorrow who knows, boss is buying lunch!
|
67 although I only feel that old now and then. My daughter if she were alive would have been 50 may 13th and that boggles my mind.

I promise not to share your age (he, he) but with the few thousand on our board. I am 44. You are? |
