JNCT14 10-01-2011 04:26 AM

Heehee this is GREAT - 50, started sewing when I was 7 because my mom came from a long line of sewers, knitters, crocheters - BTW she is 77 and quilts, crochets, knits, rug punch, you name it! i can only sew....:(

Wish i could get my 15 and 20 year old into it but they just sneer. Oh well they aren't afraid to show off my work to their friends....

My grandmother always said: if you don't want to get old, you have to hang yourself young. Tell this to your husband.

56 here, but feel 35 and had to do the math to remember my real age!!!

Mad Mimm 10-01-2011 05:41 AM

38 here!

BTW one of my favorite sayings was from a magnet I saw - it said: "How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?" Let your hubby get hopped up on jelly beans and ponder that! Haha!!!

I'm 50, but tell everyone I'm 60. I look marvelous for 60. Been doing that since I was 30. Sometimes I forget how old I am.

Scissor Queen 10-01-2011 05:50 AM

I'm 54.

Kristin in ME 10-01-2011 05:51 AM

59 ... although the end of this month I have to change that to 60. Eeek! The good thing about that is that I'm getting closer to retirement and I'll have more time to quilt. :-)

wvdek 10-01-2011 07:59 AM

Oh my, glad to see this thread is still going around. Such a variety of ages here.

musicaljan 10-01-2011 08:01 AM

Did someone ever do an average? Just curious. I'm the same age as the poster of this thread. Been quilting for MANY years. :D

I turned 61 just yesterday. I didn't want to see yesterday come but it's much better than the alternative.
Most of me still feels like 16 though.

Hey girls; what's age got to do with it??? Either you are to old, too young or just right. Depends on your point of view.
Regarding my back procedure last week, I think it could have been terrific had I been able to come home and do what I was supposed to do and not do. I always say if you can't follow doctors orders don't waste his time. My GD has the flu, screwing up my recovery, going to my Retreat, everything. Good thing my husband is home today. I am so disgusted. Both the kids are being good. Thanks for listening to me gripe.
