You know if you didn't tell us this story you might have gotten away with it..........

It was funny and I'm glad to know I am not the ONLY one these things happen to.

Because I told on myself, and expressed my paranoia, I got some terrific advise. Knowing that I'm not alone in being the receiver of less than ideal kits; and that I'll have lots of like minded company in the padded cell block; and that with one click of the mouse, (rather than a phone call,) there will be people willing to pitch in to make my bail; and that if I can't get out in a timely manner, there will be rehabilitation opportunities; and during the hours of solitary, I was encouraged to continue writing; Therefore I now seek a publisher.

However, per suggestion, I fulfilled community service hours, and now I can rest and piece. I just don't know about everyone else who fessed up. Perhaps we should hear from a shrink? A well seasoned pre-washer who can analyze us, and make us feel less guilty about our past. Could it be that we need to seek absolution from our local quilt shop for all that WM fabric we have in our stashes?

Oh I hope they are tied up across town while I sneak out the back! Really need to get to work without being nabbed!

Here I go....wish me luck!

I sorry I can't help with your bail! I used all my FQ's on Christmas projects :-( Will be sure to buy some more today when I go to work just in case. How many do you think I should get???

Those big bundles of 50 might get me started, if everyone contributed. Thanks so much. Do you think we could get off with fewer FQs if we just bribed the QP?

I'd offer a quilted pillow for a bribe, but I'd probably just get thrown in jail for it...

Haha, great story! And I love all the comments, especially the suggestion of doin' time making charity quilts!
Speaking of quilt police, I have had four of my sisters stop by in the recent couple of weeks for help with their quilt projects for Christmas. I give all of my pointers and tips for precision piecing when I teach, even to my sisters, and even make them rip out when they mess up. When one of them called another sister to ask if it was ok NOT to hand stitch the binding to the back, I laughed when I later found out. I guess I am the quilt police! So, better watch out! :)
