Question? Are the connection cords interchangeable? You might try this and therefore be able to keep your Bernina foot pedal.

the plugs are completely different and DH is not sure whether the "inside" like the electrical tension might be different, so he doesnt dare to attach another plug to an old bernina pedal to make it fit.
Maybe someones DH knows whether there is any other difference in those pedals??

It works fine I have had Janomes for years and have never had a problem. I had a 6500 that I used for years and when I traded it for the 7700 the quilt shop sold it for more than I paid for it ! They are work horses!

I put mine on that rubber shelving stuff that keeps dishes from moving around. Works like a charm!

It took a while to get used to the smaller one after the Bernina. I did the same thing to keep it from moving.

I have 4 Janomes and my hubby just got me the 350e and I don't have a problem with the pedal and I wear a size 10. 350e doesn't have a pedal..sorry.

When I bought my Janome 4900 a few years ago I took one look at the plastic foot pedal and asked the dealer if I could get a nice solid metal one instead. They said it was a downgrade but they'd do it for me. I don't regret it one bit. I love my metal foot pedal and would not change it for anything.

It still likes to take a tour of the carpet under the table sometimes but not so often now that it's on a piece of rubbery vinyl.

same as my Janome6500 and and works great for me.

Guessing you are just not used to it yet. Sometimes change is difficult.

Is like all the Janome's I have owned. I put velcro (the loopy part) on the long strip at the top to keep it from sliding. Is easier on your legs than a bigger one. However, You could put it on a larger wood platform if that would help.

That size foot pedal seems about right to me, it's the same as the one I have on my Janome 4000. I put mine over the rubberized mesh shelf pads to keep from chasing it across the floor, so that helps a little. With that much size difference, you will get used to the difference in size.

I will vouch for this product. Works very well with my Horizon foot pedal.
