I love the idea of using khakis. I have a number of them I am sure I will not wear again. I will look for your pattern.

I can't show a picture-but years ago my hubby wanted me to make him a remote holder to put on his recliner. Took a rectangle piece of denim - then added a jean pocket to the lower part of the rectangle and placed the upper part of the rectangle on the arm of the chair and secured with those upholstery pins that "screw" into the fabric and the pocket was hanging down and the remote was stored there. He told some friends about it and of course I made them some too. Would only work on fabric covered chair-not leather.

While I use denim all the time for repurposed items, I was wondering, what is YOUR favorite thing to use old jeans, jumpers and skirts to make?

I love shopping bags! and rugs!

While my denim project is an old idea, when my husb. passed away 3 yrs. ago, I saved his jeans. I cut out blocks & made a ragtime quilt for our g-son his namesake. G-pa is I, our son is II & grandson is III. G-pa was so proud of his little namesake who is now 21. The blocks have paint stains, bleach spots, battery acid holes in them. Everything that says "g-pa".

there are so many things you can make out of denim. I'm sure you've gotten all kinds of ideas already and I doubt I can share anything new. I'm saving denim to one day make something out of it. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Oh, I love this thread. There are lots of ideas I never thought of. My current plan for our worn out jeans is to make my DH a shop apron. He works with woods and needs something that sawdust doesn't stick to. I will post it when I get it done.

Thanks for starting this topic! :-D

It appears my question did not get on so here goes
I have 2 mats and one of them is slightly warped on one corner. would the 'water trick' work to fix this problem?
