Here's a couple of pics of my rugs; must get more made! I am going to attach a PDF with simple instructions (I hope this works!)
The long narrow rug fits next to the wall below the coat hooks in my mud room. Perfect muddy boots to sit on.
The square one is just one of many used all the time. It needs washing

Curious, how many jeans pockets have you removed? Those suckers are sewn to STAY!

I use a razor blade to cut the stitching on the top corners of the pockets. The rest of the pocket just pulls off once you have the corners free.[/quote]

I'll have to remember that. I just tried the seam ripper. Took a lot of work!

I have taken the pockets and sewed them into coin purses. They sell well at shows and flea markets.

Yes, I use the denim damp for the overdye. I take it from the soda ash soak and wring it out good. If you are uncomfortable using fruit jars, use old mayo or peanut butter jars, they are plastic and you can't 'over-cram' them enough to break. The dye spreads better on damp fabric, but if you want an more angular 'broken glass' looking pattern, use it after it has dried.

Found a cute pattern for slippers:

At the bottom of the page there's a link to her blog:

What unusual and cool ideas she has! I love the little Sweet Pea jacket.

Your welcome!

Really like the idea of placemats and bandana napkins. That idea is going on my to-do list. Thanks.
