red has always been my favorite color
a good primary color to add more primaries too :thumbup:

wash first red bleeds all over :-D :-D :-D

Of course, just make sure you wash the fabric first

I made the BQ pattern with thomas train in the large sq then used red and black. In the red the quilter stitched with blck thread railway tracks Turned out realy cute.Will see if I can find the picture.

Yers. If that is what he wants. Thomas has some nice fabrics and there is a lot of red in them.

Absolutely make him a red quilt! I'd stay away from Thomas, unless you want to do another one fairly soon. He might grow out of Thomas before a generic red quilt. You can make Thomas pillows to coordinate.
