Don't I wish! Sometimes I make it far into the project and that little arrogant devil jumps on my shoulder and starts to brag "Oh look, everything is going just perfectly" and the next piece goes on upside down, or wrong sides together, or.....and out comes the frog - ripit

Some of my projects I keep going and let the mistakes be part of the charm. This drives some of my guild members crazy but the beginners will see it and not be intimidated to show their work.

I thought it was a regular part of the process of piecing. :o

Rip, riiiiiiiiip, rip, they call me the ripper!

I've worn out more than that! Last time I bought 6 so I could get a discount. They're always disappearing, breaking, or not where I need them.

I'm a ripper, too. Have gotten pretty good at it, too.

PinkberryKay, did you get your quilt layed out good?

Lori S 02-17-2012 03:54 PM

You know I was wondering the same thing the other day. I thought I might have actually had completed a top without ever taking out a single stitch..... and then it happened.... and my thoughts of having one done with out a rip ... were dashed.
I think never having to rip a stitch is an urban quilting myth.

That's me......rip, rip, rip.
