The mailman brought me Terri's center block today. It is beautiful. Butterflies, my favorite things and yellows and blues. Now I am going to sleep on ideas for the borders before I tackle it. I hope to get my center out to Dawn tomorrow. Still working on the label.

Yes, I DID check ALL the boxes I have waiting to be mailed. Maybe it went in someone elses that was mailed last week. Who knows.......

Well, everybody, I hope to send mine out tomorrow or Wednesday. I've worked on over the weekend and will finish it tomorrow. It's a scrappy block too. I know the 15th is approaching fast.

I'm supposed to be sending my center to tlrnhi.

I want to post a picture of it tomorrow evening.

I completed one block, but after I finished it, I didn't like it. It was the eagle applique panel I posted eariler in this thread.

Please let me know if there are colors you DO NOT want in your quilt, but since you said it's scrappy, I'm thinking it's going to be a "free-4-all" lol

Now, to get some ideas about borders. I don't want to make just plain old everyday stripped borders. Need something unique. Hmmmmmm.......thinking......tap, tap, tap...oops, broke a nail, dangit! ;)

No stress, no worries. There's no "color theme." You'll see it's a free-4-all. It's all scraps.

My center is in the mail on it's way to Dawn. Now I have to concentrate on the first border for Terri. I even dreamed about it last night. Nice dreams. Saw lots of flutterbys and pretty flowers.

OOOOOOOOH! I'm getting excited!!

That feathered star is beautiful! Now, I'm embarassed to show mine.

First, I have to say, I wish I could make those gorgeous stars. I've never tried a feathered star.

I picked my block from Macia Hohn's blocks galore site. It said it was EASY! It WASN'T! It took me a long time.

I finally finished it and it's not perfect. It has flaws and errors in it, but it's the best I could do.

It measures 24" on three sides and 23.5" on one side. :mrgreen:

All I can say is, it's going out in the mail tomorrow.

I just used my stash. I had no color theme in mind. I just wanted to use as many colors as possible. I picked the black because it makes them "pop."

The louder, brighter, more in-your-face scraps I could find, I used.

I have just sent mine out in the Post today, Terri. I sent it 3-4 day priority mail. I sent receipt request so that if you don't get it, I have some means to track it.

Anyway, I don't know when you're home and when you're not. So, they may leave you a note to pick it up. I'm sorry about that, I just didn't want it to get lost between here and there.

Oh, I forgot to add, my mom's embroidery machine is in the shop, so I couldn't embroider my label properly.

I included it anyway, but I just wanted to ask, if you will please leave the top half blank for me, and sign the bottom half, I'll be able to properly finish the label when I get it back.

Cordella, wow! I have never seen a scrappy carpenter wheel before, you're is absolutely awesome, so clever with the black, just gorgeous!

I received Dawn's center :) It is just as beautiful in person. Very scrappy, my mind is already 'scrappin' around :lol:
