Ginghers are great but I do love my Westcot Titaniums!

Ditto for Ginghers, very good scissors...

Gingher scissors. I've had my set for 10 years and they still cut like butter. :) I love them!

Kai scissors are wonderful, and less expensive than some of the other brands. I bought a bunch of different types online, soon after I started quilting, on the recommendation of several friends who loved theirs. Recently I have seen them at several quilt shows.

I, too, love Kai - especially the serrated ones!

GINGHERS..I have had many others, and have kept a pair of Havel pointed snips, but for scissors...it is ALL Ginghers now!

You can't beat Ginghers. Buy them at Joann's with your coupon. I did in 1994 and haven't had them sharpened yet. Still cutting right along. FABRIC ONLY!!!!

I have another pair that I got for Christmas my first year in high school..many, many years ago and they are still in very good shape. I also use Fiskars because I have tendonitis in my thumbs and I like the spring action of them if I'm doing a lot of fashion sewing. If cutting straight lines for blocks, I use my rotary cutter.

Fiskars are made by the second oldest incorporated business in the world, Fiskars Corporation of Finland. They are also the makers of, you guessed it, Gingher scissors and shears.

Ginghers or plain old cheasp Friskars. when the Friskars get missused on paper etc. they get demoted to the kitchen household for all purpose use.

I bought two sizes of the Karen Kay Buckley scissors and while I find the serrated edge on the smaller (use for embroidery) are great at grabbing the floss I find I don't like that same characteristic in the larger scissors. Makes it a little harder to cut fabric in a straight line because they want to grab the fabric. I think I'm going to replace the large scissors with a pair of Gingher. I have the Gingher thread nippers and absolutely love them. If they aren't right by my machine I go into panic mode. LOL!!

I really like my Fiskars with the spring action but they are great.
