Ginghers Love them. They have one that has a plastic body and a metal blade now and they are so light! Get when Joanns has sale and they are very cheap.

Thanks much!

Love, love, love all my Ginghers..... Watch for 50% off coupons and it is really a great bargain!!!!

Because I have a hard time with my right hand and wrist I bought a good pair of Fiskars because I dont have to put my hand through two circles. It makes cutting so much easier. I bought two sizes, one sm for little work, one large work to be done. Make sure you have good seam rippers,it makes a difference in how fast you can rip.Good luck Dawn

How many have said Ginghers? I love them. I started collecting them til they got very expensive. I have over 200 pairs of scissers so I really need to stop buying them. :)

Depends on what for. I love my short pointy ginghers for snipping threads and using like a seam ripper. But for sewing shears i love the ones that come in the IKEA sewing kit. The whole kit is about $15 and also has a needle threader, thread snippers, taylors chalk, pibs and etc. Also good are the IKEA 3 pack. 2 short and one long for about $3 and all good scissors.

I love my Ginghers! They are about27 years old and have never been sharpened. They are light weight for arthritic hands.

Kai scissors are wonderful, and less expensive than some of the other brands. I bought a bunch of different types online, soon after I started quilting, on the recommendation of several friends who loved theirs. Recently I have seen them at several quilt shows.

On the recommendation of several quilters and hand stitching friends I bought some Kai Scissors in different sizes too! WOW are they sharp ~ stay sharp I'm a believer!

I have Ginghers, like them very much, however like others have said, I find them heavy now that I'm getting older. I have Fiskars like them very much. I have Gingher snips for hand sewing, I like them very much. Mundial snips and I hear they will replace those blades for life I'm told....very nice.

I have to say the year or so that I've had the Kai I'm so very over-the-moon happy with them....free/fast shipping is a plus. I have several different sizes and I believe they are still as sharp as the day I got them.

I love my Ginghers and my Fiskars aren't too bad either. I have a couple of old Wiss scissors that need sharpening. I remember when Wiss was the cream of the crop. Wonder what happened to the manufacturer?
