As far as I am concerned, Ghingers are the best. Joannes has them on sale at 50% off fairly frequently.

I love my designer ginger scissors! They are so pretty! Although I am not crazy about their rotary cutter for some reason, they huts don't seem very sharp.

Ginghers. I got a great set of 3 for a great price on eBay. It was even cheaper than Joann's with the coupon. I bought Gingers after asking many sewing people for their recommendation. Looks like many here agree!

Try eBay for your gingher scissors, sometimes you can get them cheaper, I think they are better than Joanne's for prices and they are also designer type. I don't pay more than about 25.00. A friend that I quilt with sent her gingher scissors to the company to have them sharped, they charge 7.50 each, but they cut like butter after you get them back.

Wow, my sewing scissors are Wiss. They are old, had them sharpened twice in 40 years. They still work very well.

I have a pair of Karen Kay Buckley's larger scissors that I love ,but also have the razor edge Fiskers that I really like.

Ginghers love them....

i have ginghers and love them, but now that i am doing more appliques , after reading this thread i think i will check out the KAI for cutting appliques

I purchased a pair of 8" KAI Scissors from Scissorman USA and I think the best scissors that I ever owned. They stay very sharp are quite comfortable to use. They came with a free sharpening certificate, no sales tax and the shipping was free. The website is www.scissormanusa.com.

I just love my Ginghers scissors ... I have a large pair, smaller ones, seam ripper & applique - however, finding them when I need them is another story - am trying to work on my organizational skills.
