Donnajean, You have done some beautiful work!

I have made seasonal quilts of approximately the same size. I love to change out my displayed quilts to match the different seasons. For holidays, I stay with smaller projects, table runners, place mats, and small table toppers. Also make many holiday themed quilted items for gift giving.

Your Christmas one is lovely. Beautiful. Love it.

I am also one who doesn't decorate for holidays. I do however have a weakness for pretty bright pastel Easter fabrics and now have a stash of those for no reason. I have some Christmas fabrics also that I probably will never use. I think about using them to make gifts, but my quilts are comfort quilts so holiday fabrics don't seem appropriate for that.
I think of passing on the holiday fabrics, but I love the Easter ones so much, I have a hard time parting with them. How silly is that? LOL, Hugs and smiles!!! |
My goal is to make sure each of my 2 daughters have a holiday quilt for each one!!! Xmas, Halloween, Valentine's Day, Spring/Easter, Fall/Thanksgiving and Summer. I have also done table runners for holidays for my daughter with 4 children. That keeps me busy enough not to go find other projects including anything for me!!!

I have right now 8 quilts that I have made in various sizes to cover up a fireplace I do not like in my living room. My goal is one for each month. Right now I have January, February, March/April, July, August/September, October, November and December. My plan is to have one for each month of the year. The quilts depict the month in which they hang. I have a Christmas quilt and put it out on my rack in the dining room during December.
