REGARDING THE NECKLASS OF BINDING: I GENERALLY WRAP THE BINDING AROUND SOMETHING THAT I CAN GET MY HAND THROUGH AND PLACE THE ROLL ON MY WRIST AS I SEW IT ON. NO MORE TANGLED MESS OR "CHOKE HOLDS"

This sounds like a winner. Mine always gets tangled up. Thanks for sharing.

Now why didn't I think of that and my table is clear so I'll know if I'm going to run short. Thanks for posting this

Well, I know it is time I bought a walking foot. Yours is the 2nd hint today saying a walking foot is needed. I have known it, but just haven't taken the time to figure out where to buy one.
Can anyone tell me where to buy a walking foot? This is what I have. My "big" machine is a off-brand Singer--Stradivaro, which we bought the 2nd year we were married. I have loved it and still do.
My other machine is a Featherweight, which I also love. If anyone can tell me where to start looking for a walking foot, it would be great.
The featherweight is a Singer--made in 1942...

What a good and simple idea. But I'll have to use it next time, I finished putting binding on a tree skirt that was last year's gift. I made myself finish it so my son and his wife can use it this year. But I'll remember this idea for my next binding job. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing that tip. I will give it a try.

Great idea.

I noted you are using your 1/4" foot for the first stitching. If you find your outer edge of the quilt "waving", this is your problem. This was a problem for me and now I always put on my walking foot to do the first stitching.

I went to the site but could not find the picture. Is it part of a tutorial? If so which post and how do you find it on the site?
