I have one machine that tells me when the bobbin is about to run out, but I have sewn some distances with the others and didn't realize it. Easy to do, especially if you are thinking about other things while sewing!

I have an old machine that took a spool of thread in the bobbin - too bad they didn't continue with that idea instead of the small amount of thread actually on a bobbin. there has to be a better way - how hard could it be to use a separate spool and virtually never run out.

I feel like an idiot when it happens - don't know why I feel like that and then I look around to see if anyone noticed. What is that all about?

At least once on every project -Why can't they figure out a way to use a spool of thread instead of a bobbin ?
|
thank goodness my machine has a blinking red light.........

My Babylock beeps at me when the bobbin is low and won't let me sew anymore. HOWEVER, there is still enough thread left on the bobbin to sew a few more inches. So, I just take that bobbin out and put it in my other machine that doesn't beep at me and use it up. It is frustrating either way. :)

I had a viking that beeped and showed low bobbin on the screen. But, when lint covered the detector light, it wouldn't work. But I loved that feature, and haven't had it since!
So we just sew away without thread because we are 'in the zone'. I, too, do it all the time. |

I would love it if my machine beeped when low on bobbin thread!

At first I thought you meant your sibling brother - then the light came on. I, too, have a new NS80 Brother, but it doesn't speak to me.
