Grann of 6, you have the most awesome sewing set up. I think we are all green with envy. I have to show this to my husband and let him know what perfect looks like in a sewing room. Very very nice, thanks for sharing your pictures.

She even has the cord of the Iron from the ceiling so it doesn't get in her way.
Way to go!!! Tell us your secret to get it!!! I have this small spared bedromm (no complains as I didn't have one just a year ago)

Well, after my husband passed away and I lived in my other too big house for a year, I decided to downsize. I had few requirements of the new house, not too many stairs and a room I could convert into a sewing studio. My husband wouldn't let me do that in the other house. So when I found this house I took some of the money I made from downsizing and had the basement finished to my design. Cord on the ceiling was a biggie for me. The guy who did the work for me had a ball. He is a friend of my son's and had never done a sewing room before. He was a good listener. I have file drawers at the corners of those 2 big tables. That's where all my quilting fabric is. I am currently in the process of culling out old fabric from the back closets to make better use of the space. I don't like anything out in the open so closed storage was important for me. All my thread is in drawers by the sewing machines. Some time I will take pictures of the other side of the room (the messy side).

Sorry had to laugh at your comments; why? Because I have the same problem. I don’t have a sewing room at the moment so have to use the dining area and as soon as I pull the machine out and my sewing items the family will come inside frequently wanting food or something else so I now leave the house once or twice a week to sew

I see Viking machines in your sewing room. Very Nice!

Wow, I wish I had your space mine is about 3 meters square with cupboards and shelves to the ceiling on 3 sides. There is a big window on the fourth side with the sewing machine and cutting table beside each other. there are 3 door ways as well si it makes a very small sewing space.

This past weekend with all the rain, my sump pump at the other end of the basement quit and flooded the basement. The water went all the way over to the huge tables and almost to the sewing machines. I had some wicker baskets on the floor that got wet. So right now my room is neat, except for the one table. I guess I should take more pictures before it gets messed up again.

I am so sorry to hear of your flooding. I guess Murphy is hanging out down there too. My inlaws had their basement flood that way. It was a huge clean up after they got the problem fixed. Hang in there. My sympathies are with you.

Well you can add myself and my Aunt to the exploding sewing room. My sewing room is in the kitchen and my craft table is in the living room. My daughter (25) is living with me and she still interrupts me, along with the cats and the dog.

Gran6 I am so sorry about your room flooding. I wouldn't wish that on anybody.
