I'd choose A, its a bit more sophisicated and would allow for more detailed quilting
I love B.
It has the same colours in it as the star so it connects better with the star |
I think the 1st makes the star pop just a bit more, but not saying I don't like the second. I would go with what my heart tells me to go with.
I like option 1; great job
First one for me. So far looks great, will be anxious to see it finished
I would stick with option A and here's why -- although I really like how lively option B looks, it takes away from all your hard work.
If you stand back and look at your quilt, "where" does your eye go? I'm sure others have the same opinion -- my eyes immediately went to the star on option A but to the lively print on option B, taking away from the star. |

I like the first one....the beige color picks up the beige in the blocks and really makes the stars pop. IMHO the other one is too busy and takes away from your stars.

I vote for the first one......even using the dark color (I think it is black...could be navy) would make it Pop.

I like the first one. More pleasing to look at.
I think b! It really pulled all the colors together, and made the star pop for my eyes!
I like #2.
I like number 2
I like the one with the circles. I guess that would be option ?
It looks like we are saying about 2 to 1 that we prefer option A. (I like option B.) What I find interesting is that you have 10 pages of comments, and we are all passionate about our opinion, and this tells me that you can't go wrong - both are excellent possibilities. As many have said before me, go with what makes your heart sing...but know that we all think that this is going to be a stunning quilt, whichever one you choose!

I think it depends on the look you're going for. Traditional elegance and beauty? A If it's fun, energy and enthusiasm? B
The beige one is cleaner IMHO. The other risks making the eye jump.
Beautiful work. |
I like the one with the beige. It brings out the beige in the star and does not take away from the star as the other does.
They are both lovely but maybe the second one is more interesting... to my eye anyway...
I love option B!
The first one.. Your eye is drawn to the beautiful design of the star. With the second your eye is drawn to that fabric.
I like #2 because of the airyness of the outside flakes.
You've topped 100 results!
I like both, but really feel excited and happy when I view the second; it's like an immediate rush of pleasure. I think it would make the quilt more unique and creative. |
definately the first one......
I like the first one.
I like option A
I like the second one, it really brightens it up
It is a matter of taste. Just like there is more than one flavor of ice cream. It is your quilt. Either would be very nice.
I love the first option! The beige brings out the beige color in the star, and your fancy quilting would also be more visible. Please share with us your completed project....I am sure it will be a real beauty! Good luck and have fun with it!
how about using one of the colors that is opposite your palette of colors on the color wheel??????
First one complements your star
I like the 1st (beige) one.
I like the 1st (beige) one.

My thoughts as well... |
Option A makes your star just shine, and you can do lots of fancy quilting in it that really will show
Ohmygosh! That is breathtakingly beautiful! Both of them are lovely, but I think if I were only doing one, I'd go for the top one. It is more formal; the second one is more playful.
I love Option A. Makes the stars POP.
The colors in your quilt are beautiful! |
Absolutely beautiful! I like the first one also with the beige
I like them both but my final answer is 2
If the fabrics are showing up true to color, I like the first one better. That being said, I tend to like more of the calm colors in my quilts. Good luck. You can quilt whatever you chose to quilt on any fabric!

Your star is stunningly beautiful. I think the bubbles are pretty but your quilting will hide in them. You might consider the lighter fabric for the next round and quilt with a darker thread that pulls the color or colors from the star. By so doing you create a continuation of color and give an opportunity to complement the star. Maybe, even a multi-shaded thread in a thirty weight. Could you use the pretty bubble fabric in the binding?
