I used the second example; with the circles on it, several years ago and title the quilt 'Old Mans pajamas'. I am very glad you found that great beige to add at the outer edge rather than the 'OMP'.:D
This quilt is stunning! peace |
i like them both so i am no help... but it is beautiful... both of them... make two..lol
Just my 'druthers,' but I like the one on the top the best. I think you can do a lot more with the quilting on that one too.
I think A is the one I like best
I like the first one better, it doesn't detract from the beautiful work you've done with the rest of the quilt.

A, The bubbles distract from the star - your focal pt.
The first picture is my choice - I like the way the star pops with that color.
I like the first one - it distracts less from your beautiful star.
I think he first one is the way to go!
option a.... this is my final answer
I like #2 more. It makes the star pop more.
I've decided to go with the beige. :). Thank you everyone for helping!!!
I would go with the beige - very pretty!
I like A as well.
I like the 2nd one - It makes me wanna dance with your stars!
I'm as non-traditional as they come, but I prefer the beige. It's a lovely color, and backs up the drama of the star without being lost itself, while the print seems to undermine the starring role (pardon the pun) of the centerpiece star. Its colors are just right, but the pattern is too lightweight. Would make a pretty back, though, especially a pieced back with some of the other fabrics..
I would go with the 1st one.. to me the second is too busy

I like the first one....the beige color picks up the beige in the blocks and really makes the stars pop. IMHO the other one is too busy and takes away from your stars.

It's interesting.. so many have said that the star/flower/bubble print on Option Two distracts one from the focal star. I actually like it better because it -doesn't- distract me from the star. It's light and airy. The first option.. all I see is a heavy wall of beige. I can't take my eyes away from it.

If the point of the fabric is to make the center medallion be the focus of all that work - I would avoid B (the fabric with the little circles) because I think it is very distracting from the medallion.
I agree that it is a very bright, fun fabric. But not with that medallion. In my opinion. |
Definitely the first one - it really brings out the tan in the design. Love your choice of colors!
