Oh my goodness. I hope the hounds lovers appreciate all the extra work you're doing and bid high!

A person really doesn't learn when the quilt goes together without a problem. We do learn when we have to fix the issues though! I learn something with every quilt I make -- like the BSR doesn't work unless it is actually plugged into the machine.

Don't think I have made a sewing project quilted or otherwise without such a "learning curve". Look forward to seeing this quilt...please post a pic for us.

I enjoy the finished product but the main reason I quilt is for the process of doing and learning and along the way I have had many oops moments. In fact, the next program at guild is on this subject. People are asked to bring in their oops as an illustration of what not to do and what they learned from it. There was no problem in getting examples from most members!

I had lots of the colored triangles cut and needed to cut more of the cream ons anyway so just started over. I'm almost back where I left off with the bad border so not too bad. I'm just glad I caught it before I had all 4 sides of the border done. Sadly, this is how I learn although the tutorial could have been a bit clearer. I had a similar experience with half square triangles that were thismuch to small and had to do them over.

Curious...what tute are you talking about?

Some days, it just doesn't pay to take the cover off your sewing machine.

Trim more of the points away or rip and sew? Sometimes you just have one of those days.:(

I'm sorry but I couldn't get past 'Basset Rescue'. I am a total Basset nut and have my name in the hat for a baby from a pound. Sure hope I get 'Maggie'. We have had a total of 9 Bassets in our lifetime, what wonderful dogs.
I would not worry about those points ! |
sorry about your issues but you also are learning lessons you will remember. show us the project when done
