Thanks for this link - now I know what you all are talking about. The June Taylor "Shape Cut Ruler" looks like a great tool to add to my next purchase.

I looked at the one with the 1/4" increments and decided not to get it because it is just too narrow. A few weeks ago, I got the Shape Cut Plus (12" x 18") and really love it. Walmart had the Shape Cut and Half & Quarter Square rulers on clearance, so I bought a spare of each.

You asked "is it just that wonderful?" My answer is a resounding, "YES!!!!!" I rarely use any other ruler.

If you had to just buy one--which would it be?

I'm a big fan of ripping vertical because of having that wave too many times to count.
I've looked at the shapecut video and am impressed. I didn't know you could cut shapes with it. But will i still get the dreaded wave?

I have used mine several times. They have also taught you how to fold your fabric to avoid the wave. I have not had a wave yet.

The one with 2 1/2" slots is my favorite. I also have the other 2 with 1/2" increments and love them.

I have one but like my Quilt Cut a lot better. I found that I ended up making wavey cuts.
