I've made some doozies, but more when sewing garments. About the worst quilting goober I've done was sewing pieces together, right side to wrong side . . . three times in succession, after ripping them apart. After the third time, I called it a day. :p

I have done the same many times but making hollow cubes I had the most trouble, this is when a design wall is a must. I took a photo of my completed blocks, sent it to my DGG in Australia only to have tell me two blocks were not right, oh to have young eyes again

Here are a few: see if you can find the dyslexic blocks. One of them has two that show. And I am sorry if the second pic takes a while to load. I forgot to resize.

At least you didn't sew them into the quilt before noticing .:D
peace

This one has not been quilted or fixed yet, look at the date! I love to piece and bind, why I can't get them quilted, I just don't know. I really like the quilts so it isn't disinterest.<3

I recently made a disappearing pin wheel quilt as per Jenny of MSQ. Had the whole quilt together with backing, quilted in the ditch to stabilise then looked at it to work out my fmq design. I could not work out why my design would not fit until I realised that one square of a corner block was around the wrong way!! My husband said to just leave it but I couldn't so there is one hand sewn piece in my quilt and only I know which one it is.
It is so easy to do, but hopefully we learn as we go. Your quilt will be lovely when your'e done!

When paper piecing a block, I sewed the next piece facing the wrong way (you know, instead of right side to right side I had wrong side to right side) and when I turned it over to press, what a surprise I had! Those mistakes have made me very good at using the smallest rotary cutter as a seam ripper. Those paper piecing stitches are small and too hard for me to remove otherwise.

Yes, I've made more than 1 of those blocks! Luckily just one at a time, but that's more than enough to get on my last nerve!:p

Yes, of course I did that too, several times. This is one of the Nearly Insane blocks, 6" finished, 234 pieces and two of them facing the wrong direction :(.

God alone knows how many pinwheel blocks I've done in my quilting life, but on my next to last project the last pinwheel block went together backwards at least three times. Thanks for sharing, we feel your pain!!!

Yep, it took me a while. But I say that if all of the blocks were like this goober block, it would be a cute quilt!
