I would think that just using a file holder that fits on your desk would work just as well. It deffently would be cheaper and you could save your 50% coupon for something else at JoAnns, like fabric!!!:)

Do you remember the holders for bread that had a thing in them that helped you cut all the slices the same - well - I have one of those nailed to a wall, and that is where most of my rulers stay. I also hang the bigger/longer ones on a wall nearby.

When I spoke to him Sunday he said he's doing the last bit of finish work on it.

I did this and ended up with 50 holes in the wall. I am not allowed to use nails. I have some hanging with the removable hangers. But they are very expensive.

This is exactly why I asked my dad to make something. My sewing room is also my home office. My husband refuses to do peg board or nails in the walls.

I have mine hanging on the wal. I used small anils and put them in at a slant. I have them over my cutting table so they are really easy to reach.

Well, here is the way I store mine.... One day I came across a 3-plate rack that I had packed away in a box that I still had partially open from our last move... I had a light bulb moment.. and thought "this can possibly be a rack for my rulers :-P !!"
So, this is what is hanging over my cutting table... works perfectly!!!

Good idea! One of those little toast racks might work but standing space would be needed.

i'm amazed that with all the storing, your rulers aren't all scratched up!!
i only have two long rulers & they are not stored next to each other!
making soft drawstring cloth bags they will fit nicely into is on my "to do" list
my smaller, squares & triangles are sitting in a plastic tray {$1} separated by plastic lids [coffee can] so they won't get scratched...

I had a picture of the wooden one . My son does woodworking and made one for me.

I looked for shower curtin hangers but all I could find were the plastic ones and the peg was to large, but I love the idea. I am going to keep looking for those.
