Hey this is a great, affordable idea, thanks for sharing it.

I have a basket tree floor stand and hang my larger ruler from that. I recently purchase the stickey hooks (that are releasing) and will put some on the side of a dresser in my sewing room. The little ones are in a wooden rack I bought at the Cotton Patch in MI. It was about $9.

I also hang all mine on a pegboard. Scissors, cutters, templates, rulers, hanging cutting mats, stencils. Easily accessible right by the cutting counter.

I have my larger rulers hung on my peg board using a belt hanger - it's a metal circle with a capped opening to slide them on to it. Then for my smaller rulers, I used a sloted polished board I found at Goodwill - intended for dishware display in cabinets. These are then stored on my cutting table to make them handy.
One of my friends uses a file folder stand for rulers and Go Cutter dies.

Since I am a visual kind of gal, it's most helpful to me if I can see my rulers. I have quite a few in a variety of sizes, so this is my solution. Now I can see them all and access any and all of them quickly. :-)

For the smallest ones, they are in the basket on my cutting table, center back. My small and medium square rulers are in my wooden ruler rack to the left of my cutting table. My long rectangular ones are hung in front of my cutting table, easy to get to.

Finally, the larger ones are on the wall behind my cutting table, hanging by 3M Command Hooks, so there are no nail holes in the wall. This tip came from a very dear friend of mine, and I'm so grateful for her idea.

I also use the slotted ruler holders from Joann's (2), purchased at 50% off. I also use a small wire stand made to vertically store mail or file folders -- available at office supply stores or often at Goodwill.

I use the metal graduated letter or file holders used in offices. They're opened so will hold any length. Several years ago I used bookends.

I have two of the wood slotted ruler holders, they work well for me. Several of my small rulers do not have holes for hanging, so they fit in the slots perfectly.

I just use the desk top metal or plastic slotted files (found in office supply store or stores like Walmart and lay my rulers in the slots and push the file to the back of my cutting board

I put 2 of these, end to end, and my rulers fit nicely, even the longer ones. Also, there is room inbetween the slots for an additional 'row'.
