The dish drainer works perfectly. I got a small one at Walmart for $6

I did the same thing using a 50% off coupon at JAF. I really do like it but there isn't enough room for my 15 inch and the 24" rulers in length must lay on their side...

Great idea! I am going to look for the hanging rack to use. Thanks!

I use Command Hangers. I put them on the wall behind the closet door in my sewing room. I love having my rulers so close to my cutting table. My DH is happy because they don't damage the wall. I hope you find something that works for you. :)

One has my two rotary cutters, another some odds and ends of tools, and the middle one has my calculator.

Another re-purposed item is one of those brass newspaper holders you keep at the fireplace. Solid and heavy and great for holding pattern books.

Would it be possible for you to post a picture. This sounds intriguing but I can't quite picture it. Thanks for your reply.

Looks cute as well!

I wondered about this system as well. Not as convenient.

The first one is on my fridge and will hold at least another mat and a couple of rulers.

The second on is attached to my "sewing" desk and I used to use it to hang smaller rulers from but now its for scraps and also a small flashlight for seeing into the bobbin area when using black thread!

Those hooks are so useful

You hang your rulers on your fridge door? I love my DH but he'd draw the line at this, lol.

Please see post about items my Dad made! I think I posted it in the wrong way!

Are they in an older post?

I have peg board that I hang my rulers on. Sometimes I want someplace to hang just the ruler I'm working with (table space is limited) I use a double ended hook, it is for hanging plants/hummingbird feeders? I got it at the Dollar store in the plant aisle. I hang one end of the hook over the back of my chair and hang the ruler from the other hook end. Look for over the door metal hanging racks at the Dollar store too.
