Everything happens for a reason......
Sometimes we just don't know why....... (I hope she takes real good care of it......) |
I think that she must have needed the joy that particular day, more than you did. Consider yourself a great "giver" in that your inner person sent you to the other rack.

If this is a thrift shop that is supporting a charity, they are losing a lot of money by pricing things like that so low. Maybe you could volunteer to appraise quilts/linens when they come in?
I feel for you though, I hate it when that happens. |
I got this from a Chinese fortune cookie and I leave it up on my computer to remind me of how the world needs generosity for ALL people, not just for me.
"BE GENEROUS, AND THE FAVOR WILL BE RETURNED WITHIN THE WEEK." Think of the smile on her face and the joy she will bring to the world. The people she looks at will find joy and that may be the next person YOU meet! More love in the world. ....such a good thing. |
This only that they is something big and better out there for you.

Things happen for a reason. At least I think it does. for some unknown reason that quilt was meant to go home with her.
I feel your sadness but remember the enjoy you seen as she walked out the door |
If you never held it, it wasn't yours. :)
|
So sorry for you!! Don't you just hate yourself when you do something like that? Give yourself a swift kick in the pants, then let it go. I think you're right - it was not meant for you.

Aw, next time you'll find it first!
