I think that she must have needed the joy that particular day, more than you did. Consider yourself a great "giver" in that your inner person sent you to the other rack.

If this is a thrift shop that is supporting a charity, they are losing a lot of money by pricing things like that so low. Maybe you could volunteer to appraise quilts/linens when they come in?

I feel for you though, I hate it when that happens.
