I like them both but depending on whether you want a bright quilt (choice a) or a quiet quilt ( choice b). The choice is yours. I like brights for me but for a gift I would choose b.

I thought exactly the same thing

I agree...I like the first choice...the one with tiny spatters of color. The batik makes the quilt look dull. Just my opinion.

I have been looking at them for so long, that I am beginning to hate both of them. I am really hoping that all of you have better eyes than me! So which one blends better??

The first photo is the two fabrics in question. In the second and third photo, the rose fabric is not as harsh a colour as it looks, and will be used for the center of the chain.

I like the first grouping but would change the green to one more like the edges of the little leaves-- a darker leaf green instead of that mint. I think that would look great with the pinks.

like the 1st

1st choice!

Love the 1st pic. I think the darker one is better.

I would choose no.1 I like the way it brings out the darker colors.

I like the first one also, as the others have said, it picks up the dark pink in the floral and dark pink fabrics. Post a pic as you go. It is going to be awesome.

The first - the red specks go better with the red and the red in the floral fabric.

Personally, I would go with fabric #2. I find that it sits better beside the green than the pink with the darker flecks! However that's just me!

Definately the first one

smurfsmom 03-07-2012 05:29 PM

I like them both but the first one stands out more.Like Lucio said it brings out the other darker pinks

Mousie 03-07-2012 05:30 PM

1st one! :)

I would select the first picture. In the second picture, the green and pink are similar if not identical in texture. The addition of the tiny rose pin dots adds another level of texture to your quilt. Plus, the darker spots bring out the dark in your floral fabric.
I don't like a lot of pattern, but I love layers of texture. It just adds so much to a quilt! Love your colors, by the way!

my vote is for the first one

connie d 03-07-2012 08:14 PM

I like the first choice, but I think both will make beautiful a quilt. :)

kathdavis 03-07-2012 08:24 PM

The first one definitely.

sengell 03-07-2012 09:01 PM

I like the first one.......second one not as bright

connie_1936 03-07-2012 10:02 PM

the first is my choice

I think color #2 will work together better it bring out the soft pink in the floral and doesn't seem to be competing with the floral like the dark rose .
